Disneyland: the happiest place on earth™. And today we’re two of the happiest queer boys in the happiest place on earth.

Today is day four of my trip, and our last day in LA. For the last few days we’ve been living the LA lifestyle (eat   work out   tan   wait for the beeper to go off) and I’m having an amazing time. We’ve been staying in a great gay guesthouse in West Hollywood, we’ve seen an incredible and mid-blowing new movie, eaten like kings and now we’re here at Disneyland™. (more…)

Up into the air, junior birdman!
Finally, after months of drama, heartbreak and hard work, I’m outta here, leaving behind a wet and cold Sydney town. The majestic silver bird that is QF007 takes me high, higher, above the rain, the clouds, out over the blue arc of the Pacific Ocean. Ahhhh…

Twelve hours later I see the coastline of the United States come into view, and soon enough we’re on the ground and I’m collecting my luggage. I’m a little nervous as I walk up the gangplank towards the waiting area. A sea of faces greets me, each of them scanning the arriving passengers for a loved one, some holding little placards saying “Mr Presley” or “Ms Navratilova” … then there’s the face I’ve been searching for: Casey.

Those first few moments are a little strange, a little scary, as we find uncertainly each others arms again for the first time in months. Neither of us speaks; we just stand there, holding each other, kissing slowly, surely, passionately, deliberately, silently. I’m looking into his beautiful eyes when he speaks:

"We did it."
