Am I the only person who noticed this little manuever by the Pope awile back: http://www.sciencedaily.com/upi/?feed=TopNews&article=UPI-1-20050921-09555800-bc-us-molest.xml
On 9/21/05 press reports came out about a lawsuit filed against the Pope that accuses him not only of not stopping child abuse in the church but of assisting in it. The case involves a Seminarian who is accused of molesting 3 boys in Houston.
Fortunately for the Pope the Assistant Attorney General Peter Keisler has filed in a Houston federal court to grant the pope immunity on the grounds that he is a head of State. It helps to have friends in high places.

The very next day after this report came out an anonymous Vatican official “leaked” a statement that the Vatican will conduct investigations of all 229 American Seminaries for the purpose of expelling Homosexuals. Not only does the Pope escape prosecution for his criminal acts but he quickly found some handy scapegoats to deflect attention onto.
Maybe I’m just cynical. This probably has nothing to do with the Pope’s cozy relationship with the Neo-Cons running our country and the well oiled Vatican propaganda machine. It is probably just the grace of God that allows the Pope to float like an angel above all reproach.
I took all the time to write this and after scouring the internet for a place to leave it I’m dumping it here. Why is there no counter-recruitment movement for the Catholic Church? -Doug
I was suprised to hear that you Australians do not have a Bill of Rights. A relic from convict times?
